Current Value

Berlin’s Tim Eliot represents the top percentile of European drum & bass producers. With substantial training in classical piano, he began dabbling in electronic music in 1992. Several years later he began receiving recognition on local Berlin radio stations and a series of irrefutably classic 12″s ensued.

Pyro

Hailing from Copenhagen, Denmark, Pyro started making music at the age of 14. Although fascinated by all electronic genres, he quickly settled on drum and bass when it first appeared commercially in 1995. He then spent the next few years exploring this sonic domain, seeking the darker/techier forms of the sound.

The Sect

The Sect are Blade and Virtua. Initially meeting through mutual friends in the late 1990s, they have been producing Drum & Bass together ever since. Growing up hooked to the bleeps and breaks of The Prodigy and London’s pirate radio stations, they followed the development of Jungle to Drum & Bass, eventually finding themselves drawn to the futuristic output of labels such as Underfire and Renegade Hardware – and in particular, the techno-edged Konflict sound. .

Lethal

Lethal found his introduction to producing with a Commodore Amiga and a copy of Octamed in the early 90s. Influenced by early Hardcore and Detroit Techno it shaped his style to a point that is evident in his music today. Around late ’96 the Tech-Step boom in Drum n Bass broke in a big way and Lethal found himself hooked on a genre that fitted his taste and attitude.
With releases on Offkey, OHM Resistence, Position Chrome & Venom Inc, he shows no signs of slowing down, watch out for new material from him and his label, Surround Sound.

Amex

Amex was born in Germany 1981. At the age of 9 he tried to learn to play the Piano for several years, but it was doomed to fail, because he came in contact with the first breakbeats through his brother in 1993. 1997 saw the first steps into drum and bass production.
On the way to find his final sound, namely “percussive halfbar Techno-DnB”, he tried alot and failed alot. Finally the time has come.
